Seyyed Hasan Mozafari

I am a Ph.D. student at McGill university in Montreal, a bilingual beautiful city in the eastern part of Canada. I am pursuing my Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Brett H. Meyer. I won MEDA , a prestigious Ph.D. fellowship, for three years since the beginning of my study. I received my B.Sc. in Computer Engineering in Sep. 2009 from K. N. Toosi University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. Also, I received my M.Sc. in the same major from Sharif University of Technology in Sep. 2011 under the supervision of Prof. Shaahin Hessabi

These days, I am working on developing a framework that, conjointly optimizes, the reliability, performance, and power of SIMT processors using machine learning algorithms. I am trying to change a long lasting view in my research criteria (always, there exist a trade-off between reliability, performance, and power improvements) and show that it is possible to improve these factors together and significantly in multi-processor architectures. I, already, showed that we can optimize reliability and performance co-jointly. I intend to show that it can be true for power too. I optimize the power and reliablity of these systems using machine learning algorithms (such as non-linear regression, and estimation models).
